Reith is located in the heart of the lovely and famous Alpbachtal, at the height of approx. 560 m, on a beautiful, elevated plain, embedded into the Kitzbuehler Alpes in a georgious alpine landscape. The village itself has been awarded several times with the special prize for being the “most beautiful flowers’ village”. From the lovely church in the village center a lot of trails lead through the scenic landscape. Really worthwhile seeing is the marvellous lake of Reith which is just adjacent to the church in the village center. Only five walking minutes from the village center is the new and modern 8-seats cable car which easily takes you up to the top of the mountain at about 1300 m height. This mountain, the Reither Kogel, is the ideal place for skiing and hiking for the entire family, and offers a georgious view to the valley of the “Ziller” as well as to the valley of the “Inn”.
